ATLANTIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Established in 2009, the Atlantic Football League (AFL) is comprised of four teams located within Atlantic Canada; the Dalhousie Tigers, Holland College Hurricanes, UNB Reds, and Saint John Falcons.

The AFL offers youth aged 18-24 the chance to play competitive football in their communities, and benefit from the leadership and skill-building environment of high-caliber sports teams. Our nonprofit organization engages more than just the players however - many of our teams have fully volunteer-run coaching and conditioning teams, management, production and marketing teams, and student positions. We are committed to building the next generation of leaders to be resilient, disciplined, and great team members.

It was another exciting classic Dal Tigers versus the UNB Reds football game! Earlier in the season at Wickwire Field, the Reds came away with a 23-20 OT victory. It was another perfect weather day for football as the Tigers (2-1) ventured to Saint John to play the Falcons (0-3). Would the Black and Gold rebound from their undisciplined overtime loss to the UNB Reds the week before? Minutes into the game, the Falcon fans got excited as their team blocked a Tiger field goal.
